About

Let’s face it, we all need nourishment!

Fundamental to life itself, food is integral to our culture and social interactions; it frames our day and our coming together with family and friends.

There are clear connections between nutrition and health. A well balanced diet can help us maintain a healthy weight, build a stronger immune system, assist with the management of blood pressure and cholesterol levels and lower the risk of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke. But what is a well balanced diet?

The media is awash with advice on diet and nutrition; a lot not based on peer reviewed scientific research. Through repeated studies and analysis it takes time, and a significant financial investment, for the science to evolve and for breakthroughs to emerge.

Yes, it can all get very confusing, but I’m here to help separate fact from fiction, truth from myth.
